Coronavirus Update - 29th March 2020

We would like to reassure our clients that we remain open but that in compliance with directives from both the Government and the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons, and most importantly for the safety of us all, we are operating a restricted service, focussing principally on emergency care.

Opening hours

  • Reduced weekday opening hours of 9am-6pm; Saturdays 9am-12pm

Appointments at the practice/surgical procedures

  • For emergency medical needs and emergency surgical procedures only (please see ‘Visiting the practice’ and ‘Further information’ below).

Telephone appointments

  • Telephone consultation appointments to be booked in advance on a day by day basis as needed; these appointments will have a consultation charge.  An appointment at the practice will be provided only if deemed necessary.

Repeat medication, worming and flea control medication and food

  • Please email your request ([email protected]), or phone the practice (01932 855856) leaving a detailed message (surname, pet’s name and required medication/food) if we are unable to take your call.
  • When your items are ready for collection, we will contact you, taking payment over the phone (see ‘Visiting the practice’ and ‘Self-isolating and vulnerable clients’ below).

Out of hours emergency care

  • North Surrey Veterinary Emergencies, 4 Park Road, East Molesey, Surrey KT8 9LE, 0208 783 2850

Visiting the practice

  • On arrival please wait outside and phone, if possible, to let us know you have arrived.
  • If your visit is for an appointment, we will let you know if it is necessary for you to enter.  If this is the case, please maintain the 2 metre social distancing guidance once inside the practice. In most cases however, we will treat your pet without the need for you to come into the practice.
  • If collecting medication or food, we will bring this out to you.

Self-isolating and vulnerable clients

  • Please note we will deliver pet medicines and diets to our clients who are self-isolating or vulnerable.

Keeping you informed

  • Over the coming weeks we will amend this notice as appropriate to keep you up to date with developments and changes in how we are able to care for your pets, so please do keep an eye on our website for further guidance

In the event of a temporary closure

  • If it should become necessary for us to close temporarily, one of our associate practices or our Out of Hours practice will be able to treat your pets in the case of a medical emergency and appropriate messages will be left on our answerphone and on the website.

Further information

Surgical procedures

  • These are now severely limited for emergencies and acute medical conditions only due to a national shortage of oxygen and the need to prioritise oxygen supplies for the NHS.

Annual vaccinations

  • Please note that if your pet’s annual vaccination is due or due imminently, immunity will be valid up to 6 weeks after the due date and we will do our best to provide clinics for this as soon as we are able to do so.
